Thad Bailey, President and founder.

Thad started operating a tow truck full time out of college and felt that he could provide a new level of service excellence to the towing industry. He saved enough money to get started and by the time he got out of school, he was ready to start the business. “We do it right!” is the foundation for Thad’s business strategy and it means you can expect honesty, service, decency and class when you call Bailey’s Towing.

Susan Bailey, Office Manager.

Susan looks after the behind the scenes responsibilities of running a family business. She has experience in all facets of business management and reinforces Thad’s commitment to excellence in all aspects of the company.

About Bailey's Towing Accessories...

Bailey’s Towing began in 1998 with one new International flatbed carrier, a sizable investment, and the vision that there is a place in the industry for an ethical wrecker company managed with class. From the start we took pride in the appearance of our equipment and personnel, the professionalism and manners of the staff and our standing in the community we serve.

In 2009 we founded Bailey’s Towing Accessories to allow us to share some of the tools we have developed with other towing companies. We believe in continuous improvement and ongoing training and development for the staff and for myself as well.

Our slogan is: “We do it right!” and it’s not just something we say, we try to live it. We also try to solve problems and improve methods of operation for ourselves.

The story of the Side Recovery Guide

We live and work in the #1 place for business in the country, Raleigh, NC. The growth has generated traffic that is overburdening our highway system. Wrecks are frequent, and most frequent in rush hour. If a vehicle is off the road and we have to block both lanes while a flatbed carrier does a 90 degree set-up in the traffic pattern, we feel the impact.

When some of our neighbors in the towing business saw the tool and tried it, we soon realized that our idea was bigger than we ever dreamed. It allows every carrier in the fleet to become side pull capable for a very small fraction of what a commercial side pull device costs and weighs. At a price less than $400.00 and a weight of about 20-30 pounds depending on the model, a standard carrier can perform many of the tasks of a factory installed side pull that may cost $15,000.00 and weigh as much as 1,500 pounds.
